Your Patient Journey

Your Consultation: The most important part of your patient journey is the initial consultation, it allows us to really understand what your concerns are. Using this insight we strive to address your concerns and exceed your expectations.
What is included in the initial consultation?
- Comprehensive assessment of your requirements and concerns
- Thorough medical assessment
- Clinical photos to assess before and after treatment (always confidential)
- Bespoke treatment plan including detailed explanation on how we will achieve results
- Dedicated time in which we will answer any questions you may have honestly and clearly
Pre-Treatment: We suggest you refrain from alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment as this can increase the risk of mild bleeding or bruising.
Appointment: We’ll welcome you to the clinic and your consent will be taken for the treatment. Any questions are welcome throughout and we’ll keep checking that you’re happy as treatment progresses. When treatment is complete, we’ll arrange a follow-up appointment. This is important to ensure that you are happy with the results.
Time taken: 15-30mins
Downtime: None. Very occasionally there can be a small red area at the injection site, however this will last only a few hours maximum. Most patients go straight back to work.
After-care: Using the muscles treated can help Botox® to work better – so gently pulling those funny faces is a must! Do not have any facials or facial massages as this can cause the Botox® to move. Saunas should also be avoided as this can dilate the blood vessels and again cause movement of the Botox® to other local muscles. Please don’t hesitate to contact with any concerns on 020 3795 9063.
How long will it take to work: It usually takes 10 to 14 days for the full effects to show which is why we always schedule a follow up consultation at 2 weeks.* This appointment is included within the fees. A complimentary top-up will be offered at the 2 week follow-up consultation. Unfortunately after 2 weeks, any top-ups will be charged in full.
How long does it last: For 3 to 6 months depending on age, lifestyle and quantity of Botox® used.* We recommend returning every 3 to 4 months to ensure the effects do not wear off entirely. With repeated use, effects have been shown to last longer.
*Individual results may vary.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?
Botox® is a toxin made from the bacteria clostridium botulinum. It is purified and undergoes multiple safety checks. We inject tiny amounts under the skin, which then temporarily relaxes the muscles by blocking the nerves to the muscle. This in turn creates a smoother appearance of the overlaying skin, providing a much fresher and younger look.*
Is it painful?
Most patients report no pain and only a mild discomfort, we use micro-needles, which are much smaller than the ones used for vaccinations and don’t require any anaesthetic at all.
Are there any side-effects?
Botox® is very safe and side effects are extremely rare.
Is there anyone the treatment is not suitable for?
It’s not appropriate for pregnant women or patients who are breastfeeding. It’s also not suitable for people with severe allergies including those to egg.
Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation:
We usually like to provide a cool-down period between your consultation and treatment as this gives you time to consider your treatment plan and ask any further questions you may have. Many patients have researched extensively or have had treatment previously, and would like the treatment on the same day. Obviously, that’s fine – just let us know when you book so that we allocate enough time.
