Dracula PRP Therapy™, better known as the Vampire facial, is a powerful anti-ageing treatment that harnesses growth factors in your own blood to stimulate and rejuvenate skin, body and hair. Frequently Asked Questions
How does Dracula PRP therapy™ work?
Taking a small sample of blood, we are able to separate it into red cells, plasma and platelets using a closed centrifuge machine. The platelets are then injected into the treatment area. This process stimulates DNA repair helping to rejuvenate, tighten and replace volume to your skin making it look and feel younger.* This technique can also be used for numerous medical conditions such as hair loss, acne scarring and musculoskeletal pain.
Is it painful?
Dr Bawa handpicks advanced treatments that are safe, results based and involve as little discomfort as possible. Both Botox® and dermal fillers are administered via fine needles to make the procedure more comfortable. Numbing cream can be provided if needed.
Are there any side-effects?
Our treatments are very safe and side effects are extremely rare. Thousands of these procedures are carried out daily.
Is there anyone the treatment is not suitable for?
It’s not appropriate for pregnant women or patients who are breastfeeding.
Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?
We usually like to provide a cool-down period between your consultation and treatment as this gives you time to consider your treatment plan and ask any further questions you may have. Many patients have researched extensively or have had treatment previously, and would like the treatment on the same day. Obviously, that’s fine – just let us know when you book so that we allocate enough time.
